Booking the inspection now means you pick the date. It also means a worn ignitor or a blocked vent gets found while your heat is still running, which is a very different conversation than finding it at 11pm with no heat in the house.

The inspection goes back to our regular price and the fall schedule is already booked out. Nothing else about the visit changes.

A 12 point walk through of the system, grouped into the six checks that matter most.
The heating system itself
Furnace or boiler and all visible components, plus a full startup and heating cycle test.
Burners and heat exchanger
Burners and ignition system inspected, heat exchanger checked for visible signs of damage.
Safety and leaks
Safety controls and emergency shutoffs tested. Visible gas, oil, water and exhaust leaks checked.
Venting and draft
Flue pipe, venting and draft inspected so exhaust is leaving the house the way it should.
Controls and moving parts
Thermostat operation and settings, electrical connections, filters, belts, pumps and blower components where they apply.
Written report
A written system condition report with repair recommendations and any efficiency, reliability or safety concerns we found.
